🔥 SKELEDIRGE ⚡ KILOWATTREL 💧 AZUMARILL ☠ CLODSIRE 🔨 TINKATON 🐉 BAXCALIBUR

✓ RUN STATE CHECKLIST

⚙ CORE RUN RULES

A
Only catch permanent team members early. Use the sixth party slot for Pokédex one-offs or temporary evolutions.
B
Activate every Pokémon Center. Fast travel is essential in the open world — unlock every Center as you pass through an area.
C
Do Titans before long travel sections. Ride abilities (Swim, High Jump, Glide) dramatically speed up traversal. Prioritise Titans when they unblock movement.
D
Do not grind. Levels match naturally through trainer battles and Titans. If you're underlevelled, clear a nearby Star Base or do a Gym you've been avoiding.
E
Check ability on Azurill. Only Huge Power is acceptable — it doubles Azumarill's Attack stat and is the entire reason for catching Azurill over a wild Marill.
F
LP goes to TM crafting only. Prioritise: Flamethrower → Volt Switch → Play Rough → Earthquake. Do not spend LP on TMs you already have from gym rewards or pickups.
G
Use Tera Raids for XP Candy, not wild battles. Open Poké Portal → Tera Raid Battle. 4–5 star raids drop XP Candy L and XL — a handful will level a Pokémon faster than hours of wild encounters. Essential for pushing Arctibax to Lv 54 and keeping up in the back half of the game.
00 TEAM ROSTER — CATCH & EVOLVE GUIDE
🔥 FUECOCO → CROCALOR → SKELEDIRGE
  • Obtain: Starter — pick Fuecoco at the beginning in Mesagoza
  • Lv 16 → evolves to Crocalor. Evolve immediately.
  • Lv 36 → evolves to Skeledirge (Fire/Ghost). Evolve immediately.
  • Skeledirge learns Torch Song by level-up — signature Fire move that raises Sp. Atk each use. Keep forever.
TM Plan — Skeledirge
  • S08 Ghost Gym reward → TM Shadow Ball — teach immediately. Ghost/Dark coverage.
  • Craft → TM Flamethrower — higher PP and consistent power. Replaces Ember line.
  • Naturally → Hyper Voice — Normal-type sound move. Learnt by level-up.
Torch SongFlamethrowerShadow BallHyper Voice

⚡ WATTREL → KILOWATTREL
  • Obtain: South Paldean Sea coastline — exit Mesagoza south gate, head south through South Province Area One all the way to the ocean cliffs. Look for the wind turbines on the clifftop — Wattrel flies around near them. Scan the air above the cliff edge, not the ground. Also found along the East and West Paldean Sea coasts if you reach those first.
  • Lv 35 → evolves to Kilowattrel (Electric/Flying). Evolve immediately.
  • Ability: Wind Power or Volt Absorb — both are usable. Wind Power charges up the next Electric move after being hit by a wind attack; Volt Absorb heals HP when hit by Electric moves. Either is fine for a playthrough.
  • Naturally learns Discharge and Air Slash by level-up — keep both.
  • Lv 33 → learns Thunder Wave — keep for paralysis utility in boss fights.
TM Plan — Kilowattrel
  • S04 Levincia Gym reward → TM Volt Switch — teach immediately. STAB pivot move.
DischargeAir SlashVolt SwitchThunder Wave

💧 AZURILL → MARILL → AZUMARILL
  • Obtain: Small ponds near your house / early route — catch with Huge Power ability only
  • Azurill → Marill via high friendship. Fastest method: give it the Soothe Bell (found in the Mesagoza school building — talk to the student near the entrance hall), keep it in your party, use it in every battle, and do picnics (washing your Pokémon at a picnic basket raises friendship quickly).
  • Marill Lv 18 → evolves to Azumarill (Water/Fairy). Evolve immediately.
  • Naturally learns Aqua Jet (priority Water) and Liquidation — keep both.
Huge Power doubles Azumarill's Attack stat, effectively giving it one of the highest physical Attack values in the game. Without it, Azumarill is mediocre. Check the ability before committing — re-catch if needed.
TM Plan — Azumarill
  • Craft → TM Play Rough — Fairy STAB. Priority craft.
  • Optional → Belly Drum — if you want to run a sweep set. Maxes Attack at the cost of half HP.
Play RoughLiquidationAqua JetBelly Drum (opt)

☠ PALDEAN WOOPER → CLODSIRE
  • Obtain: West Province Area One — muddy wetland south of the river, S02
  • Lv 20 → evolves to Clodsire (Poison/Ground). Evolve immediately.
  • Ability: aim for Unaware — ignores all opponent stat boosts (Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Supreme Overlord, etc.), making Clodsire a reliable check against set-up sweepers. Re-catch if you get Poison Point.
  • Naturally learns Poison Jab, Yawn, and Toxic — keep all three.
TM Plan — Clodsire
  • S02 TM Bulldoze pickup → teach immediately. Ground coverage, also slows target.
  • Craft → TM Earthquake — replaces Bulldoze when available. 100 BP, no drawbacks.
EarthquakePoison JabYawnToxic

🔨 TINKATINK → TINKATUFF → TINKATON
  • Obtain: South Province Area Three — broken stone ruins, S03
  • Lv 24 → evolves to Tinkatuff. Evolve immediately.
  • Lv 38 → evolves to Tinkaton (Steel/Fairy). Evolve immediately.
  • Ability: prefer Mold Breaker — attacks bypass opponent abilities like Levitate, Sturdy, and Flash Fire. Gigaton Hammer through Sturdy is a meaningful upgrade. Own Tempo (prevents confusion) is less impactful.
  • Tinkaton learns Gigaton Hammer by level-up — signature Steel move, enormous damage. Keep forever. NOTE: Gigaton Hammer cannot be used twice in a row — alternate with another move.
  • Naturally learns Knock Off and Swords Dance — keep both.
TM Plan — Tinkaton
  • Craft → TM Play Rough — shared craft with Azumarill. Fairy STAB coverage.
Gigaton HammerPlay RoughKnock OffSwords Dance

🐉 FRIGIBAX → ARCTIBAX → BAXCALIBUR
  • Obtain: Glaseado Mountain — slope near northern Pokémon Center, S09
  • Lv 35 → evolves to Arctibax. Evolve immediately.
  • Lv 54 → evolves to Baxcalibur (Dragon/Ice). Evolve immediately.
  • Learns Glaive Rush and Icicle Crash by level-up — signature Dragon move and strong Ice STAB. Keep both.
  • Learns Dragon Dance by level-up — keep for setup sweeping.
  • NOTE: Glaive Rush leaves Baxcalibur vulnerable the next turn — plan accordingly.
  • NOTE: Glaive Rush is learned at Lv 62 as a level-up move. Since Baxcalibur evolves at Lv 54, it will reach the endgame without Glaive Rush unless you hit 62 first. Use the Move Reminder (blue-haired man at any Pokémon Center) to teach it immediately once available — it's free.
TM Plan — Baxcalibur
  • Craft → TM Earthquake — shared craft with Clodsire. Ground coverage, hits Steel types.

M MOVE-LEARNING ROADMAP
How to read: LEARN = accept the move. SKIP = decline it. Each LEARN row shows which move it replaces. Gold TM rows are not level-ups — teach via TM at the noted point in the run.

FuecocoEmber — resisted (Rock resists Fire) but Fuecoco has no better option at this stage

FRIGIBAX JOINS — FINAL TEAM SLOT

Baxcalibur is a late-bloomer: it won't fully evolve until Lv 54, but Frigibax itself is solid and Arctibax hits hard at Lv 35. Glaive Rush (signature Dragon move) and Icicle Crash together make Baxcalibur one of the strongest physical attackers in the endgame. Catch it now so it levels up naturally through the remaining content.

Held Item
  • REQ Never-Melt Ice — found as a ground item on Glaseado Mountain. Give to Frigibax/Baxcalibur. Boosts Ice-type moves.

TITAN: QUAKING EARTH (IRON TREADS)
Lead Skeledirge
SkeledirgeFlamethrower (Fire vs Steel component; Ground resists nothing from Fire)
ClodsireEarthquake backup (Ground vs Steel). Iron Treads does NOT have Earth Eater, so Ground is safe here.

All 8 gyms cleared. Clear remaining Star Bases for LP, then craft TMs.
11 TEAM STAR BASES
Clear when passing through an area. Star Bases are fast and reward LP (League Points) used for TM crafting. Don't make special trips — clear them naturally as you move between gyms and titans.
Base Locations
  • Dark Base — West Province (Area One) — near where you caught Paldean Wooper
  • Fire Base — East Province (Area One) — on route to/from Levincia area
  • Fighting Base — North of Medali — clear after or around the Normal gym
  • Fairy Base — North snowfields near Glaseado — clear while doing the Ice gym area
  • Poison Base — North Province (Area Two) — clear while travelling north toward the False Dragon Titan area
Each Star Base gives significant LP. Flamethrower, Volt Switch (already obtained), Play Rough, and Earthquake all require LP + materials to craft. You need at least 2–3 bases worth of LP to fund your full TM crafting priority list.

Glaive Rush Icicle Crash Earthquake Dragon Dance
⚠ Gigaton Hammer cannot be used on consecutive turns — it causes a recharge. After using it, use another move (Knock Off, Play Rough, or Swords Dance) before firing again.

⚠ Glaive Rush makes Baxcalibur take double damage on the following turn. Use it to finish fights, not to start them while health is uncertain.
E4 CHAMPION ASSESSMENT — ELITE FOUR
Fixed order: Rika → Larry → Poppy → Hassel → Geeta. No Pokémon Center between battles. Enter at Lv 60+ across your team. Each trainer's ace Terastallizes — watch for the type shift.
⚠ Geeta's Kingambit has Supreme Overlord — its Attack and Sp. Atk rise for each of Geeta's fallen Pokémon. Lead Clodsire and get an Earthquake on Kingambit before her other mons faint, otherwise it becomes very hard to OHKO.
ELITE FOUR #1 — RIKA (GROUND) · Ace: Clodsire Lv 58 Tera Ground
Lead: Azumarill
AzumarillLiquidation vs Camerupt (Fire/Ground) — 4× effective
AzumarillPlay Rough vs Whiscash (Water/Ground) — Liquidation neutral; Play Rough hits for better damage
AzumarillLiquidation vs Donphan / Dugtrio / Clodsire (Ground) —
Backup: KilowattrelAir Slash — immune to Earthquake; safe pivot if Azumarill is low
ELITE FOUR #2 — LARRY (FLYING) · Ace: Flamigo Lv 60 Tera Flying
Lead: Kilowattrel
KilowattrelDischarge vs Tropius / Altaria / Staraptor / Flamigo (Flying) —
Kilowattrel → Oricorio (Electric/Flying) — Discharge neutral; swap to Tinkaton Gigaton Hammer instead
Watch: Staraptor and Flamigo use Close Combat — if Kilowattrel is low on HP, pivot to Tinkaton (Steel resists Fighting)
ELITE FOUR #3 — POPPY (STEEL) · Ace: Tinkaton Lv 59 Tera Steel
Lead: Skeledirge
SkeledirgeFlamethrower vs all 5 Steel types —
Bronzong may have Heatproof (halves Fire damage) — use Torch Song first to stack Sp. Atk, then continue with Flamethrower
Backup: ClodsireEarthquake vs Magnezone (Steel/Electric) — if Skeledirge is struggling
Watch: Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer is neutral on Skeledirge but hits very hard — keep HP above 50% when Tinkaton is up
ELITE FOUR #4 — HASSEL (DRAGON) · Ace: Baxcalibur Lv 61 Tera Dragon
Lead: Baxcalibur
BaxcaliburIcicle Crash vs Noivern (Dragon/Flying) — (Ice vs Flying 2× + Dragon 2×)
BaxcaliburIcicle Crash vs Flapple (Grass/Dragon) — (Ice vs Grass 2× + Dragon 2×)
BaxcaliburIcicle Crash vs Haxorus / Dragalge —
Hassel's Baxcalibur [Ace, Tera Dragon]: use Azumarill Play Rough ( Fairy vs Dragon) — avoids Glaive Rush's vulnerability turn against a hard-hitting opponent
Setup tip: consider Dragon Dance on Flapple or Haxorus before sweeping the back half with Icicle Crash
ELITE FOUR #5 — GEETA (MIXED) · Ace: Glimmora Lv 62 Tera Rock
Rotate by matchup — no single lead covers the full team
SkeledirgeShadow Ball vs Espathra (Psychic) —
SkeledirgeFlamethrower vs Gogoat (Grass) —
KilowattrelDischarge vs Veluza (Water/Psychic) —
SkeledirgeFlamethrower vs Avalugg (Ice) —
ClodsireEarthquake vs Kingambit (Dark/Steel, Supreme Overlord) — . Lead Clodsire EARLY so Kingambit hasn't stacked yet.
Azumarill / ClodsireLiquidation / Earthquake vs Glimmora (Tera Rock) — . Note: Glimmora has Toxic Debris — contact moves set Poison Spikes. Use Earthquake (non-contact) to avoid triggering it.
PRE-AREA ZERO — READINESS CHECK
Area Zero is the endgame dungeon. It has 4 Research Stations, each with a healing bed — use them freely as you descend. The main challenge is the boss sequence at the very end: Nemona → AI Professor Turo → Miraidon, which happens back-to-back with no healing in between. Ensure full readiness before triggering the final sequence.

Area Zero Boss Guide
⚠ All six of Professor Turo's Pokémon have Quark Drive — their highest stat is boosted by the Electric Terrain that Miraidon's Hadron Engine sets automatically. Expect them to hit harder than their level suggests.

MIRAIDON — SCRIPTED OUTCOME
Your party is sealed — you battle as your own Miraidon
Opponent Miraidon's Hadron Engine sets Electric Terrain, boosting its Sp. Atk
Strategy: spam Power Gem → when prompted, Terastallize → use Tera Blast
Outcome is scripted — you cannot lose this battle
